Accounts on BateriaLucha.org

While lots of public information about Bateria Lucha is available on this site to any anonymous visitor, certain parts of the site are only visible or enabled for people who create accounts and log in. There are different levels of membership on the site, just like the different levels of membership within Bateria Lucha itself. You can signup as a fan or as a member, and you can indicate your interests (music, dance, social justice struggles, etc). To begin, create a new account. This will bring you to a form where you can select a username, enter your email address and optionally provide some other contact information for yourself. Once you click the "Create new account" button at the bottom of the form, the site will email you an initial password.

At this point in the process, a site admin (currently Derek or Matt) will have to approve your request for an account. This way, we can ensure that only valid members of the Bateria are able to get access to the members-only content on the site (for example, contact info of other members, ability to see what members have signed up for each event, etc). Once you login, you'll also have the ability to sign up for events on the calendar to indicate if you're coming, which is one of the primary functions this site serves for our group. Futhermore, users that login are able to create new content for the site: post new calendar events, add new pages, add comments to existing pages, etc.

Once an admin approves your request, you'll be able to login using your username and the temporary password that was emailed to you (either with the "User login" box on the right or the link above). After you do that, you should change your password (a link for this will be included in your initial email).

If you're having trouble logging in, please make sure your browser is configured to allow cookies from BateriaLucha.org. This site uses a cookie to authenticate you once you type in your username and password.
